The dog days of summer are upon us.  Hopefully everyone is finding a way to keep cool.  First up is a recap of the Chapter's July events.
 
July Webinar:
 
The webinar was hosted at the offices of Welborn Sullivan Meck & Tooley on July 18, 2012.  The program, entitled Change Leadership: A Boot Camp to Organizational Change, was presented by Rachel Schaming.  The session covered information on how to apply critical change leadership through assessment tools and case studies.
 
July Education Luncheon:
 
The educational luncheon was held on July 19, 2012 at the Marriott Courtyard Downtown Denver.  Jeff Mitchem and Juan Vigil of CPR Save a Life provided individual instruction to attendees in lifesaving techniques.  While the session focused on CPR, the instructors also covered AED use, the Heimlich maneuver and how to recognize the signs of heart attack and stroke.  Attendees completing the session were all awarded CPR certification.
 
Attorney Appreciation Event:
 
The Chapter held its annual Attorney Appreciation event on July 26, 2012.  The event was held at Maggiano's Little Italy and featured speaker Jeff Lanza.  The presentation was entitled Leadership Integrity & Ethics and provided the attorneys in attendance with two ethics Colorado CLE credits.  The session covered ways to help professional develop, inspire and maintain a culture of integrity in their organizations using real FBI case examples to help the audience understand the root causes of unethical behavior and to facilitate the advancement of organizational goals with employee morality and integrity intact.

In order to better serve our members, the Mile High Chapter is exploring the possibility of adding two new subgroups.  These two subgroups, the Boulder Subgroup and DTC Subgroup, would focus primarily on issues encountered by our members in Boulder and the Denver Tech Center.
