May Webinar:
The May webinar was hosted at the offices of Welborn Sullivan Meck & Tooley, P.C. on Wednesday, May 16, 2012. The speaker was Chapter favorite Judy Hissong of Nesso Strategies. Judy discussed the effects of stress in the work environment and discussed way to manage stress and effective coping mechanisms.
May Educational Luncheon:
The May luncheon was held on Thursday, May 17, 2012 at the Marriott Courtyard Downtown Denver. The program, presented by Barbara Ezyk, Executive Director of the Colorado Lawyer Assistance Program, focused on issues relating to substance abuse. Ms. Ezyk gave those in attendance an overview of substance abuse in Colorado with a focus on lawyers. She covered the signs and symptoms of substance abuse as well as the importance of early recognition. She provided those in attendance with information on how to obtain confidential assistance for lawyers and other support staff.
June Events:
There will not be a Chapter educational luncheon in June. Plan to attend the 2012 Mile High Chapter Business Partner EXPO on Tuesday, June 5, 2012.
The June webinar will again be hosted at the offices of Welborn Sullivan Meck & Tooley, P.C. This month's webinar is on Wednesday, June 20, 2012. The title of the program is Technology Management: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. The session will cover a wide variety of topics related to technology.
