
Mark Maguire was recently honored as our most recent David Award Recipient. Mark started working in the legal profession in 1980 at Davis Graham and Stubbs. He was there for eight years. He then moved to Holland and Hart and was there from 1988 until 2003 (15 years). Mark accepted a position as Director of Operations at HRO in 2003 and worked there until 2011. In 2012, after a brief hiatus working for DTI, he took a position as the Denver office administrator for Ballard Spahr LLP where he is currently.
Mark joined the ALA in 1995 and immediately took on the role as co-chair for the vendor relations committee and worked on the vendor expo with Grover Brittain. Over the next several years, he held positions as chair of the bar liaison and bylaws committees. He was elected treasurer in 2000 and was president elect in 2001. He was elected chapter president for the 2002 board year. He has also served on the National ALA regional officer nominating committee.
