Mile High Chapter Mentor/Mentee Program

Current Board members, Mentors and Mentees met yesterday at Hogan Lovells for a happy hour to celebrate our Chapter getting this program off the ground.  It’s been in existence about 4 months.  The amount of time the mentor and mentee spend together and how they manage the relationship is completely between them.  We just wanted to provide resources to anyone who would like someone to share ideas, discuss challenges, brainstorm and celebrate wins with.  If you are interested, please contact Mark Neighbors at [email protected]

Passing the Leadership Baton

The Mile High Chapter’s Board year runs from April 1st to March 31st, annually.  It has been my pleasure to serve as your Chapter President this past year.  I’m very proud of the accomplishments the Board and Committees achieved this year.  We took your member surveys and listened to what you wanted.  We were innovative and put together programs and events that reflected the needs of the membership.   We combined our former separate events, the Expo and Retreat, into the Mile High Chapter Conference and Expo held in Keystone.  We brought you highly regarded speakers at our monthly luncheons, and launched the mentor/mentee program.  We were careful stewards of the Chapter funds, and had a very successful Community Relations drive that resulted in a boatload of winter gear delivered to the Denver Rescue Mission.  Strategic Relations worked with other legal organizations to put together the Legal Winter Social and reminded us monthly about diversity & inclusion.  Our Communication gurus kept our website updated and pushed out speaker materials through our Chapter app in real time at our Conference.  Our Survey Committee provided another wonderful tool with the Salary Survey, we got our Bylaws updated, and we won another President’s Award of Excellence.  All of it was accomplished in concert with our Officers, Committee Chairs & Co-Chairs and all of the volunteers that lend a hand.  Thank you all for your participation at every level.  A lot goes on behind the scenes and because so many of you give back to the Chapter, we are all better for it.

I’m delighted to pass the baton to Terri Moore-Natal at our Transition Dinner on March 26th.  Terri has plans to continue on the legacy of excellence the Mile High Chapter is known for, and I’m happy to be there to support her and the new Board as they take over on April 1st.

As always – the Chapter is here for you.  Have questions about your membership or what perks or delightful opportunities can be accessed as a member, please reach out to me or any member of the Board for more information.
