Speaker Bio:

Kevin D. Allen's practice emphasizes employment law and commerical litigation. In the area of employment law, Mr. Allen is experienced in matters involving federal and state civil rights litigation, restrictive covenant and misappropriation of trade secrets litigation and other business tort litigation arising out of the employment setting. He is also experienced in providing counsel regarding a full range of other personnel and workplace issues, primarily on behalf of employers. Mr. Allen is a Martindale-Hubbell AV rated attorney and has been named a Colorado Super Lawyer since 2007.

Description:

A fun and interactive employment law discussion surrounding religion in the workplace, dating in the workplace, and work sponsored events. The presentation will focus on each of these topics and various scenarios to obtain understanding of legal principals and specific laws that apply to each topic and employee/employer responsibilities related to the same. 

Session Objectives:

Gain a broad overview of the law as it relates to these employment law topics/areas: 1) religion in the workplace 2) workplace dating, and 3) work sponsored events. Review various scenarios as applied to each topic to help guide the discussion and learning.
