What does ALA membership mean to you?  What benefits do you value as an ALA and Mile High Chapter member?  What recent membership enhancements have been made by ALA and the Mile High Chapter?  What new benefits are on the horizon?  Whether you’re a seasoned ALA veteran, a relatively new member or someone considering membership, this ALA Benefits review is just for you.

These questions and many more will be answered as we welcome our ALA Region 4 Representative, Karie Rivkin and several of the Mile High Chapter’s leaders including MHC Communications Committee Chair Grover Brittain and Reba Nance of the Colorado Bar Association. 

This luncheon is for all administrators/members of all experience levels.  It is not approved for credit for CLM recertification.

12:30-12:40 pm:    Grover Brittain – MHC Website update, Listserv Rules and Chapter App Status

12:40-12:45 pm:    Lorri Salyards – MHC Educational Benefits

12:45-12:50 pm:    Jessie Meier/Sarah Stromberg – MHC Activities and Networking

12:50-1:00 pm:    Reba Nance – MHC/COBAR Membership and Benefits

1:00-1:10 pm:    Restroom Break and Departure of the BPs

Members are encouraged to stay after the February Luncheon for the Mile High Chapter’s Annual “State of the Chapter” meeting:

1:10-1:45 pm:    Annual State of the Chapter Meeting

Linda Gross – President will facilitate our Annual Meeting and will offer verbal reports from the following committees:  Awards, Bar Liaison, Business Partner, Bylaws, Communication,Community Connection, David Award, Education, Membership, Nominating, Professional Development, Survey and a Treasurer’s Report on Chapter’s Financial Standing.  We will end the Chapter Meeting with an open forum for questions to Chapter leaders and Karie Rivkin.

Our speakers will join us at the Courtyard by Marriott in downtown Denver, 934 16th Street Mall, Denver, CO 80202.  The Chapter will provide complimentary valet parking for those members outside of downtown Denver.  Please indicate in your registration if you will be using that service.

Registration is free to all ALA members and Potential Members!  But we still need you to register!! The price for guests who are not potential members will remain at $35.
